4/11/2024 EnchantaVaughn Approved Behavior: Josiah continues to display aggression as he self reported feeling bad about his behaviors this week. He reported he feels bad about his behavior but doesnât know how to change at this point. Josiah reported he has also argued with his mother 2 days thus far this week with moderate intensity with episodes lasting from 30 seconds to 2 minutes in time length. Behavior: Josiah reported he has had 2 anger outburst with moderate intensity over the past few days with each episode lasting from 30 seconds to 2 minutes. He reported he contacted QMHP-C and requested todayâs session. Intervention: QMHP-C probed Josiah to find the cause of his request for todayâs individual session. QMHP-C then modeled and taught Josiah âDeep Breathingâ techniques to help with calming himself when angered by parent and other authority figures. QMHP-C used empathetic listening skills as Josiah expressed himself openly to QMHP-C. QMHP-C also implemented a psycho-educational activity into todayâs session that focused on Josiah learning to control his anger and reduce temper tantrums in the home and community. Intervention: QMHP-C verbalized to Josiah that todayâs session was also to help Josiah explore the root of his anger, frustrations and lack of motivation to improve his attitude. QMHP-C engaged Josiah in discussion regarding his inability to control his anger at home and community. QMHP-C utilized a role-play activity to help Josiah visualize how his anger outburst affects others as well as himself when he has been struggling with depression. Response: Josiah seemed receptive to todayâs individual counseling session in which he verbalized understanding of session. Josiah responded positively to being modeled and taught Josiah âDeep Breathingâ techniques to help with calming himself when angered by peers. Josiah responded positively to the psycho-educational activity that focused on Josiah learning to control his attitude as well as his depression. Response: Josiah reported this has been a rough week for him thus far but reported he still has time to turn it around. Josiah vowed to practice the "Deep Breathing" technique and utilizes self-control techniques taught by QMHP-C today to help calm him when angered by authority figures and relatives in the home. Josiah also participated positively during role-play to allow Josiah to Josiah to see how others might think of him when he has an anger outburst.
